Cranberry Camping Trip : The Cranberry River and its small tributaries are regarded as some of the finest trout streams in the eastern United States. Until recently, however, trout fishing on the south fork was limited to the lower half of the river due to acid rain. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has worked to counter this problem by installing a liming station on the north fork of the river.

Thanksgiving 2008 Frank & Shirley's : Frank and Shirley always put together a family dinner, this year Shirley wanted to go all out, with all the kids close and able to come. Put on top of it Mary and Ty able to make it she wanted to make it a huge event. She planned things and all was in hand until disaster struck. The power went out Thanksgiving morning, luckily Shan and I live close and had power, we were able to finish the dinner and deliver it hot to the house. If you notice in the images you will see candles and battery lanterns sitting on the tables. We ate in the dark. It was so nice not to have to compete with the TV and just talk. The next day the kids, Shan and I went to my folks house for dinner. I spared them the camera, though Dad and I did talk shop.
